Why Anodyne?

Many people experience an ongoing cycle where chronic pain and complex mental health conditions influence each other. Our focus is on addressing this pattern through specialist care that looks beyond standard treatment options.

We provide access to advanced therapies, including ketamine therapy and stellate ganglion block, which may be considered for eligible individuals living with chronic pain or treatment-resistant mental health conditions. Care is guided by assessment and delivered within a structured clinical framework.

What defines our approach:

  1. Advanced, Evidence-Based Treatments
  2. Clinical Expertise in Psychiatry and Pain Medicine
  3. Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Approach

Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine therapy is an evidence-based treatment option that may be considered for selected mental health conditions and pain presentations, including neuropathic pain and central sensitisation, following specialist assessment. It is typically explored when standard treatments have not provided adequate symptom relief.

Ketamine acts on pathways involved in pain processing and mood regulation, including mechanisms linked to central sensitisation. Across our Perth locations, ketamine therapy is delivered as part of a structured treatment plan, with inpatient and outpatient options available depending on clinical indication and suitability.

Stellate ganglion block

A stellate ganglion block is a targeted injection of local anaesthetic near sympathetic nerves in the neck that influence the body’s stress response. By reducing sympathetic overactivity, the procedure may support selected individuals experiencing PTSD, trauma-related anxiety, or certain chronic pain presentations.

At our Osborne Park location, stellate ganglion block treatment is delivered in a monitored clinical setting following screening for suitability. Response varies between individuals, and a series of blocks may be recommended as part of a broader, evidence-aligned care plan.
